VT Baseball Workout

Thursday, November 20th, the Virginia Tech baseball team met the Armed Forces Special Operations Preparation Team (AFSOPT) at the PT Pit on the Blacksburg campus. The time was 5:00 a.m. and what followed was nothing the Hokies had ever experienced before, a grueling workout challenging the mental toughness of each student-athlete.

After brief calisthenics, the team bear crawled from the PT Pit to the Caldwell Statue then sprinted to War Memorial Chapel. The team was then split into four groups and were instructed to run in column formation carry weighted gear down to the O-Course and then back to the chapel. The almost two-hour workout was not lost on team members.
